Somalians constitute a huge percentage of the African community in Pittsburgh, most of which migrated to the United States as Refugees.  The Somali Bantu Community maintains active membership with the Union of African Communities. Our community group is named Pittsburgh Somali Bantu Community, with mission to build a stronger community through facilitating the social, emotional and cultural Adjustment of  our people.
