sudanSudanese Community in Pittsburgh

Sudan is the largest country in Africa.  The Sudanese community is one of the most organized African communities in Pittsburgh, and retains active membership with The Union of African Communities in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County (UAC). The official Sudanese Community Organization here is called “Sudanese Community in Pittsburgh” with about 500 community members. Almost all came as refugees, and some moved from nearby states/cities in search of better education and job opportunities. Community meetings are held regularly.

Mission: To serve, educate and improve the life of the Sudanese community in the Greater Pittsburgh and environs.
