African Community Meeting
This is to cordially invite you to the November General Meeting of the Union of African Communities in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County, of which your community/organization is a member.
The main agenda for this meeting is to discuss membership to the union, activities and progress of the union till date, financial update, and strategize on proposed activities for 2010. Copies of bylaws, African Community need assessment and other important documents will be disseminated at the meeting. Please note that according to the bylaws:
- Each African community/country has 3 seats in the Union, and each Student Organization/group has 2 seats in the Union.
More observers are welcomed, but only these 3 or 2 people have the voting power on behalf of your community or Organization. Please could you notify the union of the names of people to represent your community/organization as soon as possible.
Date: Saturday November 21, 2009.
Time: 3:00pm – 6:00pm (please be punctual)
Venue: Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 250 North Highland Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15206 (Directly opposite East Liberty Home Depot). Free Parking space available at the back.
